Our mission: make the difference with refurbished
We at Janado invite you to become part of a sustainable change. Our goal is to break down existing prejudices against refurbished products - and to offer you a selection of high-quality, durable and sustainable smartphones, tablets and laptops. Because: If you choose a preloved product, you are protecting our natural resources and making an active contribution against the throwaway culture. Our mission is to promote precisely this change in consumer behavior and to create a new environmental awareness – for the future of our planet and for our future generations. We also support the environmental organization Justdiggit: With every device you buy from Janado, a piece of land in Kenya is re-greened.

That's how it works

What is that
Circular economy
At Janado everything revolves about the circular economy: A model that radically differs from the traditional linear economy – the so-called throwaway culture. Instead of supporting the short-lived “produce-use-dispose” cycle, we focus on “Make-Use-Refurbish”.
But what does that mean exactly? It’s simple: we take used IT equipment and carefully prepare them for a new life cycle – that's refurbishing. Not only do we conserve valuable resources, we also prevent the unnecessary mining of rare earths, which are contained in many electronic devices. A win-win situation.
And the highlight: By dispensing with new production we minimize CO2e emissions, electronic waste and water consumption significantly. In this way, we are actively influencing pressing environmental problems such as plastic pollution, e-waste and high CO2e emissions.
But we go one step further: At Janado, our mission is to To raise awareness of the circular economy and thus promote a change in consumer behaviour. Our goal? To establish refurbished as the standard and thus make a significant contribution to a more conscious and resource-efficient lifestyle.
