On March 21, the OnePlus Ace 3V was unveiled in China, a smartphone that is expected to be launched worldwide under the name OnePlus Nord 4. Since the Nord 4 has not yet been officially announced, the information in this text is based on speculation and the features of the presumably identical Ace 3V. We assume that, like the previous model, the OnePlus Nord 3, there will be hardly any differences from the previously released Ace 2V.

The OnePlus Ace 3V was released in China on March 21st. In the smallest storage configuration, the phone is available for a price of 1999 yuan, which is about 256 euros. Unfortunately, we cannot expect such a price in Europe, as it will probably be significantly more expensive. I could imagine that we will see the Nord 4 in a similar price range to its predecessor. Accordingly, we can expect a price of around 449€ to 549€.

OnePlus Nord 4 or OnePlus Nord 5?
The OnePlus Nord 4 could see an interesting twist in its naming: Due to the number four being considered an unlucky number in China, it is possible that OnePlus could skip this number and go straight to the OnePlus Nord 5. This has already happened once before when OnePlus made the name jump from the OnePlus 3 to the OnePlus 5.
Large display in 2 colors
The first product images show that the OnePlus Nord 4 will appear in elegant black and vibrant blue. It impresses with its design with rounded edges and a slim display.
With a screen diagonal of 6.74 inches, the AMOLED display delivers a sharp resolution of 2772x1240 pixels. The high refresh rate of 120 Hz guarantees smooth movements and fast response times.
Stylish design similar to the OnePlus Nord CE 4
The design of the OnePlus Nord 4 is similar to that of the OnePlus Nord CE 4. This is especially noticeable when you look at the back of the phone. This is characterized by its simple and rather inconspicuous design. As with the OnePlus Nord CE 4, there will also be a dual camera setup, which are arranged one below the other on the right side. The setup is completed by an LED flash, which is located below the cameras.
Dual camera: Limited to the essentials
There is no official information about the OnePlus Nord 4's camera yet. If the device follows the identical Ace 3V and Nord CE 4 in terms of camera, we can expect a combination of a wide-angle main camera and an ultra-wide-angle camera.
Powerful with Snapdragon 7+ Gen3
The OnePlus Nord 4 scores particularly well on the data sheet. Under the hood there will be the Snapdragon 7+ Gen3 processor, which is designed to ensure high efficiency and performance. The Snapdragon processor is manufactured using a 4nm manufacturing process and is comparable to the Snapdragon 8 Gen3, although the clock speed is lower.
Enough storage available in two sizes
In terms of storage, the OnePlus Nord 4 will more than cater for you, as you get up to 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage.Like with the OnePlus Nord 3, we can probably expect two storage sizes, which should also give us a smaller and cheaper storage size.
Larger battery and faster charging
The battery of the Nord 4 has also improved and is really impressive on paper. The battery capacity is 5500 mAh and is recharged via cable at 100W. Wireless charging is unlikely to be available. The large battery is not a bad choice from OnePlus, especially given the large AMOLED display and the powerful processor.
Conclusion: Will the OnePlus Nord 4 convince?
The OnePlus Nord 4 impresses with its elegant design. The phone looks similar to the OnePlus Nord CE 4, which is particularly noticeable due to the dual camera setup on the back. Initial images show that the device will be available in black and blue.

In my opinion, the OnePlus Nord 4 leaves an impressive impression even before its release. If the speculation about the technical features is correct, the Snapdragon 7+ Gen3 processor promises powerful performance. The large 5500 mAh battery indicates a strong battery life, which should certainly be more than enough for a day. However, the display size of 6.74 inches could be too unwieldy for some users.
I find the targeted selection of camera lenses in the setup particularly positive, which focuses on practical use rather than quantity. How the phone performs in everyday life remains to be seen, however. If the price of €450 remains the same as its predecessor, the smartphone offers an attractive price-performance ratio on paper.
